How to choose an exchange destination events

The next how to choose an exchange destination events:

 

Europe and the Nordic countries, Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Latin America (University bilateral agreements and Faculty and unit bilateral agreements)

You can choose the most convenient time and place, but please note that there will be campus specific information about exchange destinations at these events. Therefore it is recommended that you favour the event held at your own campus.

Application Clinics

Come and make your Mobility Online application with the support from specialists from the International Exchange Services at an IT-classroom and ask questions related to the application process. When you come to the clinic you should already know which exchange destination you are applying to. The purpose of this clinic is to help you make an application in Mobility Online. If you are still unsure of which exchange destination to choose, please see Exchange opportunities around the world, come to an Exchange Info (see above) or come to office hours.

Information sessions for students selected for exchange

Have you been selected for an exchange? Do you know what to do next?

At this event we will talk about applying to your host university, practical preparations and rules related to Erasmus- and Nordplus (e.g. scholarship and language preparation). If possible, take a tablet or laptop with you, because after the event you can stay and fill out the application to your host university.

4.4.2018 at 16.15 City Centre Campus (in Finnish). Please note that this event is in Finnish, but you are welcome to join and ask questions in English.

Departure orientations

During the departure orientation you can meet other students from the University of Helsinki who are also heading on exchange to the same host country or same university as you. During the first hour of the orientation you will get general information, which will help you as you are getting ready to leave for your exchange. After this your tutor will meet you and you can go for example to a nearby café to discuss your tutor's experiences about being on an exchange. This is an excellent opportunity for you to ask any possible questions that you might have.

What I learned during my exchange? -events

What I learned during my exchange? –events are organized once per term. These events focus on how to utilize the experience gained while abroad in your working life and how to better bring these experiences into attention in job applications and CV´s so that your knowledge is not just hidden knowledge. Event is organized in Finnish.
