During the exceptional situation, ordering a digitally verified transcript is highly recommended. If you need to send your transcript to someone, please check with the recipient whether they accept a digitally verified transcript. Paper copies are not mailed daily.

***

This article concerns all degree students regardless of whether they are studying in the new degree programmes or according to the old degree structures.

As a current or former student of the University of Helsinki, you can get a transcript of your studies. You can order the official digitally verified transcript from WebOodi.

Digitally verified transcript of studies

Digitally verified transcript of studies is an official mainly used transcript.

You can request a transcript of your studies by ordering it from WebOodi. The transcript of studies will appear on the front page of WebOodi in a few minutes after your order. See instructions on ordering a digitally verified transcript from WebOodi.

Read more about digital signatures.

If you can not order the certificate from WebOodi, e.g. in a case where your user account has expired, you can send a request via email to studentinfo@helsinki.fi, and a digitally signed transcript of studies will be emailed to you. Remember to indicate your student number in the message.

If you need a paper copy of the official transcript of studies, please see the instructions below.

Free-of-charge paper copy of the transcript of studies

If you are an attending student (including exchange students, students under the Flexible Study Right Scheme or those completing non-degree or Open University studies) with a valid study right, you can receive one official printed transcript of studies free of charge per academic term from Student Services. You can collect the transcript in person or order it to be sent by mail.

Exchange students can receive the transcript also during the following term after their study right has expired. In any other case, if you do not request a transcript during the term, you cannot order one retroactively.

Paid paper copy of the transcript of studies

In addition to a free-of-charge digitally verified transcript, everyone who has completed studies at the University of Helsinki can request a paper copy of their transcript of studies for a fee at Kaisa House, Viikki, Kumpula and Meilahti Student Services. See contact details for Student Services.

As the Student service points do not handle cash, you will have to pay the transcript fee in advance. You can pay by cash, debit or credit card or with your student card at the UniCafe locations listed below. You can also pay the fee to the University's account.

You can retrieve your transcript from Student Services or order it to be sent by mail. Bring a receipt of the payment with you if you fetch the transcript. If you want the transcript mailed to you, enclose the receipt with your order.

  • €5 each if retrieved
  • €10 each if mailed
