Due to the coronavirus situation, all the service points at the University of Helsinki are closed for now. All the advising services provide online guidance. See details on each service point below.
Please follow the instructions provided by the University of Helsinki and your own faculty. Follow the effect of coronavirus on your studies in Instructions for Students and up-to-date information on the University's own website actively.
The student information points provide services for all students at the University of Helsinki. The new Student Information at Kaisa House will have longer opening hours and it is more accessible as it enables students to e.g. get general advice regarding enrollment and student benefits while visiting the library.
All student information points (at Kaisa House, Kumpula, Meilahti and Viikki) offer you the following services:
- Processing annual registrations as well as changes in address and name.
- Printing official transcripts and certificates of student status as well as giving certificates for student travel discounts. Also handing out information on student benefits.
- Giving general advice on scholarships awarded by the University of Helsinki Funds.
- Offering information about study rights and enrollment to the university.
In addition to face-to-face visits, you can still contact the students services via e-mail and phone in Kruununhaka, Kumpula, Meilahti, Metsätalo, Porthania, Siltavuori and Viikki. Those student services points are specialized in one or more faculties, and you can also book an appointment there for counselling regarding your studies in the specific degree programme and faculty. If you study at the Open University and need guidance, please see contact information below. For the International Exchange Services you will find contact information here.
To speed up the service, please send your message from your helsinki.fi e-mail address or state your whole name, UH student number (or date of birth) and your phone number.
